A father who tried to save his son electrocuted at a workplace in the Altınova district of Yalova was also electrocuted. The seriously injured father and son died in the hospitals they were taken to.
In the washing and lubrication workshop in Kaytazdere district of Altınova, Yalova, Olcay Okur was electrocuted, and his father Samim Okur, who tried to save him, was also electrocuted.
BOTH COULD NOT BE RESCUED
Health teams were dispatched upon notification for the seriously injured 53-year-old father and 28-year-old son. After their initial interventions, Samim Okur was taken to Karamürsel State Hospital, and his son Olcay Okur was taken to Yalova Altınova State Hospital. However, despite all interventions by doctors, the father and son could not be saved.
THEY WERE THE OWNERS OF THE BUSINESS
It was learned that Samim Okur and his son Olcay Okur, who resided in Dereköy neighborhood of Karamürsel district in Kocaeli, were the owners of the washing and lubrication workshop where the incident occurred.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
