In a press briefing held by the Ministry of National Defense, important messages were conveyed regarding Israel's ground operation launched against Lebanon and the Iran-Israel tension.

Sources from the Ministry of National Defense responded to questions about the possibility of the tension arising from Iran's missile strikes on Israel after Israel's attack on Lebanon turning into a regional war, stating, "As the Ministry of National Defense and the Turkish Armed Forces, we closely monitor the developments in our region and the world regarding our country's defense and security, evaluate them with a multidimensional security strategy, and take the necessary measures. Israel's inhumane attacks that disregard international law continue to threaten international security and global and regional stability. The current situation has shown how justified our concerns are that Israel's attacks will not be limited to Gaza but will spread across the region. Our Turkish Armed Forces are capable of neutralizing any threats and dangers directed at or that may be directed at our existence."

EVACUATION OF TURKISH CITIZENS IN LEBANON

Ministry sources stated the following regarding whether Turkish citizens in Lebanon would be evacuated: "Our Turkish Armed Forces, which have successfully carried out many evacuation operations before, have completed their planning and preparations for the safe evacuation of foreign nationals, primarily our citizens, from Lebanon. The developments currently taking place in Lebanon are being closely monitored in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If the evacuation begins, the necessary information will be provided by the relevant institutions of our state."
