The funeral of Emine Boyun, the late mother of gang leader Barış Boyun, brought together names from the underworld. The mother of crime organization leader Barış Boyun, who is detained in Italy, Emine Boyun, was laid to rest following a funeral ceremony held in Istanbul. The ceremony, held at the Büyük Mosque in Kasımpaşa, was conducted under heavy security measures, and the names and phrases on some wreaths sent to the funeral drew attention.

According to Evrensel's report, the funeral prayer for Emine Boyun was held after the afternoon prayer at the Büyük Mosque. During the ceremony, security measures were taken around the mosque and its vicinity, while attendance at the funeral was limited due to some family members being detained.
Barış Boyun is detained in Italy, while his wife, brother, and nephew are also reported to be detained in Turkey. It was stated that his brother Zafer Boyun, who is in Silivri Prison, was not brought to the funeral ceremony for security reasons.
THE PROFILE IN THE CROWD DREW ATTENTION
It was claimed that a significant portion of the funeral attendees were linked to the underworld, with most consisting of individuals in their 30s, wearing black t-shirts and sportswear.

One of the prominent details of the ceremony was the wreaths sent.
In addition to a wreath made of red roses with the inscription "Barış Boyun Family," wreaths bearing the names of individuals and groups claimed to be linked to the criminal organization in the news also drew attention.
Wreaths bearing the names of Mert Gültepe, who is mentioned in the indictments related to the organization investigation and claimed to lead the structure, and those said to have been sent on behalf of the "Kimsesizler" (The Forsaken) group, were also present at the ceremony site.
On some wreaths, it was notable that different nicknames and phrases were used instead of direct names. Along with phrases like "Kimsesizler Şerzan Kipan" and "Kimsesizler Mustafa Çim," expressions such as "Kosovalı" (from Kosovo), "Sırbistanlı" (from Serbia), "Hayalet Ağıt" (Ghost Lament), "Siverekli Nedim" (Nedim from Siverek), and "Malatyalı Kenan" (Kenan from Malatya) were seen.
LAID TO REST IN FERİKÖY
After the funeral prayer for Emine Boyun, her body was taken from the mosque and brought to Feriköy Cemetery.
Emine Boyun was laid to rest following the burial procedures held there. It was observed that security forces continued their measures around the area throughout the funeral ceremony.
