INTRODUCED THE DUAL CANDIDATE FORMULA
According to a report by Başak Kaya from Sözcü newspaper, while a message of unity emerged from the tripartite summit held the previous night, Yavaş introduced the dual candidate formula. According to this formula, both names will be candidates, and the one with the lower votes in the second round will become the Vice President.
CHP ACCEPTED THE PRIMARY ELECTION REGULATIONS
On the other hand, the CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) convened under the chairmanship of General Chairman Özgür Özel with the agenda of the primary elections. The MYK voted and accepted the draft regulations for the primary elections prepared by the Deputy Chair of Legal and Election Affairs. CHP Leader Özel will announce the date of the primary election, where the party's presidential candidate will be determined, at today's weekly group meeting.
After approximately five hours of the Party Assembly (PM) meeting, the CHP MYK convened at the party headquarters under the chairmanship of CHP General Chairman Özgür Özel. The agenda of the MYK, which lasted about two and a half hours, also included the primary elections to determine the party's presidential candidate. According to the information obtained, the draft regulations for the primary elections prepared by the CHP's Deputy Chair of Legal and Election Affairs, which reached a consensus during the PM meeting, were voted on and accepted in the MYK. The regulations also detail the primary elections where the CHP's presidential candidate will be determined.
ÖZEL WILL ANNOUNCE THE PRIMARY DATE
CHP Leader Özel will announce the details regarding the date of the primary elections, the criteria for candidacy, the tripartite meeting with Ekrem İmamoğlu and Mansur Yavaş, and the CHP's early election roadmap at the weekly group meeting to be held tomorrow.
PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE REGULATIONS
Gül Çiftçi, the Deputy Chair of Legal and Election Affairs of the CHP, will hold a press conference regarding the primary election regulations on Friday, February 14. During the meeting, Çiftçi will share technical details about the primary elections, candidacy criteria, and details such as where and how the polling stations will be set up with the press members.
