Yılmaz Vural, an experienced head coach in Turkish football, has taken action to take charge of Altınordu's professional football structure. Vural, who announced that they had held talks with investment funds in England, said he aimed to take the club to the upper leagues by developing young football players. Also touching on not being given a role in the Turkish National Team, Vural expressed his reproach with the words, "Turkey is a master at casting you aside."

Finally, Yılmaz Vural, the head coach currently managing Sarıyer, announced that he has been holding talks to take over Altınordu's professional football structure. Speaking to Radyospor, the experienced coach stated that they had established contact with investment funds in England for the project's financing.

HE MET WITH ENGLISH FUNDS FOR ALTINORDU

Recounting his meeting with Seyit Mehmet Özkan, one of Altınordu's former administrators, Vural said that Özkan had offered him the opportunity to take over the professional football structure.

Vural said, "Mr. Mehmet said, 'I want to work with young people, you handle the professional competition. Develop players here; you can both sell them commercially and have the chance to promote the team to the top league.'"

Drawing attention to the importance of the club's facilities in Selçuk and Torbalı, the experienced coach emphasized that they needed serious financing to realize the project.

Stating that they had spoken with investment funds in England, Vural explained that they aimed to repay the resources provided through income from the sale of players to be developed.

"TURKEY IS A MASTER AT PUSHING YOU ASIDE"

Also speaking about his desire to take a role in the Turkish National Team, Yılmaz Vural expressed his discomfort at not being considered in head coach selections. Reminding that he had worked in approximately 870 matches in Turkish leagues, graduated from two universities, and knew a foreign language, Vural used the following statements:

"Unfortunately, our Turkey is a country that is a master at pushing you aside after you reach a certain age. However, coaches become more productive when they get older."

"I WAS HAPPY ABOUT SERGEN'S APPOINTMENT"

Stating that he viewed the appointment of Sergen Yalçın as head of the Turkish National Team positively, Vural argued that domestic head coaches should serve in national teams. Praising Sergen Yalçın's playing and coaching career, Vural said, "I was happy about Sergen's appointment." However, emphasizing that the problems in Turkish football cannot be solved only by changing the head coach, the experienced coach stated that comprehensive changes are needed from youth infrastructure to management.

NATIONAL TEAM REBUKE CONCERNING HIS SON

The experienced coach, who explained that his son Yılmaz Vural, born in 2010 and playing football in Germany, had been invited to German football's player pool, said that his son had not been called up to Turkey's youth national team camps. Stating that Samet Aybaba had told him his son would be called up but that this had not happened, Vural said that Turkish footballers growing up in Germany should be followed more closely.

"I COULD NOT RECEIVE ALL MY DUES FROM ANY CLUB"

Also criticizing the payment system of player and head coach contracts in Turkey, Vural explained that he had difficulty collecting his receivables from clubs.

"I myself could not receive all my dues from any club. Perhaps I received them from a few clubs; from the others we could not receive any. We still have receivables from 4-5 clubs," said Vural, arguing that the payment system in Turkish football needs to be changed.
