Here are the conditions and other details of the bill support... An amendment is being made to the state support provided to all citizens for electricity and natural gas bills. According to this, only low-income households will be able to benefit from the support after the determination studies. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, announced the criteria they have determined. "60% OF ELECTRICITY AND NATURAL GAS IS PAID BY THE STATE"In his statements, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, indicated a new era in electricity and natural gas bills. Bayraktar stated that there are significant supports through the Treasury for electricity and natural gas and said that 60% of a 1000 lira gas and electricity bill is still covered by the state. A NEW ERA IN BILLS: SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED ACCORDING TO INCOMEBayraktar stated that the bill support is applied to all citizens, but within the framework of their joint work with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, they aim to provide this support only to low-income citizens. Bayraktar expressed who will not be able to benefit from the electricity and natural gas support with the following words; "We think it is more accurate to reflect the cost based on the cost to consumers with high income who can bear the real cost. We are considering a model where our truly needy, lower-income citizens, retirees can benefit from this support and cover it, and instead of benefiting from these supports, citizens who have larger homes, use a lot of electricity, have electric vehicles, and have consumption above a certain percentage cover their real costs. These supports will continue within the budget possibilities. We are conducting the process in coordination with the Central Bank and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, without ignoring the impact of possible changes in energy prices on inflation."
