Galatasaray's star Yunus Akgün protested the referee's decision not to show a red card despite a VAR warning following the foul committed by Rej Manaj on Barış Alper Yılmaz. Akgün stated, "Barış is crying his eyes out inside. Maybe his leg is broken, he will go to the hospital. The referee says his leg is on the ground."

Galatasaray, who defeated Sivasspor 3-2 away, reacted to referee Turgut Doman for not consulting VAR despite the foul on Barış Alper Yılmaz in the last minutes of the match, according to Yunus Akgün's statements after the game.

After the match, Yunus Akgün made statements during a live broadcast by the broadcasting organization, using the following expressions;

"I am really proud of my team, thank you for their efforts and hearts. We showed what kind of team Galatasaray is. This 3 points were very important. Mete was unlucky; he is an important player for us. Such misfortunes can happen. We played extra for him today. I don't want to talk about the referee. He came from the Galatasaray youth academy. Barış is crying hysterically inside. Maybe his leg is broken, he will go to the hospital. The referee says his leg is on the ground. I am proud of my friends. We excited some teams in the 15th minute, but we won. We will do our best to make our fans happy."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Galatasaray was expecting a red card after the incident that occurred in the last minutes of the match where they defeated Sivasspor 3-2.

In the 90+9th minute of the match, Rey Manaj committed a clear foul on Barış Alper. Referee Turgut Doman, who blew the whistle for the foul, showed a yellow card to Manaj. Doman, who watched the incident on the monitor upon VAR's warning, did not change his decision.

After the incident, Barış Alper Yılmaz, who was left on the ground in pain and injured, had to leave the field on a stretcher. Barış Alper had scored his team's 3rd goal. This incident quickly became a topic of discussion.
