YİĞİT COULD NOT BE SAVED, HIS BROTHER WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED

The incident occurred on February 16 at around 23:00 in Yıldızeli Street, Kadifekale Neighborhood. According to allegations, two suspects on a motorcycle and wearing ski masks opened fire with a gun and a rifle at the light commercial vehicle in which Emirhan Mırık and his brother Yiğit Mırık were present. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon reports from the surrounding people. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances. Yiğit Mırık could not be saved, and it was reported that Emirhan Mırık's treatment is ongoing.

THEY CONFESSED TO THE MURDER

In their investigation, the teams determined that suspect A.G. (19) fired the shots, while M.K. (21) was the one riding the motorcycle. A.G. was apprehended in the Canik district with the weapon used in the crime, while M.K. was detained in the İlkadım district. After completing their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse today. It was stated that the suspects had a feud due to a debt of 20,000 Turkish lira and confessed to committing the murder for this reason.
