The former Antalya Provincial Police Chief, İlker Arslan, who was suspended from his position by the Ministry of Interior and later arrested as part of an investigation initiated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of 'facilitating bribery', 'qualified fraud', and 'unjust enrichment', has been reassigned to the center. Sabit Akın Zaimoğlu, the Bursa Provincial Police Chief, has been appointed in his place.
With the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, appointments were made in the General Directorate of Security. With the decree, the police chief of 37 provinces was changed, while the police chief of 22 provinces was recalled to the center.

On the other hand, the name of the person replacing Arslan has also been revealed. According to the decree; Bursa Provincial Police Chief Sabit Akın Zaimoğlu has been appointed to the position of Antalya Provincial Police Chief.

In the 'bribery' investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the suspended Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek, the names of businessman Fazlı Ateş and E.T., who received contracts from municipal subsidiaries, were mentioned in their defenses, along with Antalya Police Chief İlker Arslan.
Following the development, a detention order was issued by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Arslan, who was suspended from his duty by the Ministry of Interior on charges of 'facilitating bribery', 'qualified fraud', and 'unjust acquisition of property'. Arslan, who surrendered on September 7, was arrested by the magistrate's court he was brought to on the same day and sent to prison.
