An indictment has been completed regarding five children suspected of threatening the family of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was stabbed to death at a flea market in Kadıköy. The five suspects are facing a request for up to 7 years in prison.
A new development has occurred regarding the murder of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was stabbed to death at a flea market in Kadıköy while trying to buy skateboarding equipment. The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has completed the indictment prepared against 5 minors who threatened Minguzzi's family.
UP TO 7 YEARS IN PRISON SOUGHT
In the prepared indictment, it was requested that the minor be sentenced to up to 7 years in prison for the crimes of "threatening with a weapon in a chain with multiple people" and "praising the crime and the criminal."
WHAT HAPPENED?
On January 24, 2025, in the Hasanpaşa neighborhood of Kadıköy, 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who went to the market to buy skateboarding equipment, was attacked with a knife by B.B. U.B. kicked Minguzzi during the attack. Severely injured, Minguzzi passed away on February 9, 2025, after a 17-day struggle for life.
The trial of B.B. and U.B., who were arrested after the incident, is ongoing, with a demand for imprisonment of 18 to 24 years for the crime of "intentional murder of a child." Last week, two more suspects identified as being involved in the incident were arrested in the murder investigation.
