A Galatasaray fan celebrating the championship in Kadıköy was attacked in a shooting. The yellow-red club condemned the armed attack in a statement.
After Galatasaray secured the championship in the Trendyol Super League, celebrations took place in many parts of Istanbul, while a citizen celebrating the victory in Kadıköy was shot in an armed attack.
INJURED IN THE ARMED ATTACK
Galatasaray fans strolling along the Kadıköy coast were attacked by an unidentified person with a firearm. A passerby recorded the moments with a cellphone camera. The footage showed the armed assailant injuring the Galatasaray fan in the leg.
GALATASARAY'S STATEMENT
Meanwhile, Galatasaray Club condemned the attack by sharing a post on their social media accounts in response to the incident.
In the statement, it was said, "We strongly condemn the armed attack on our fans celebrating the championship in the Çiftehavuzlar neighborhood of Kadıköy today. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured fan in this heinous incident and hope that such events will never happen again."
