In the investigation conducted against the armed criminal organization led by the fugitive Uğurcan Gündoğmuş in Istanbul, 20 out of the 26 suspects who were detained have been arrested.
In an operation targeting a criminal organization in Istanbul, 20 of the 26 suspects detained were arrested by the court they were brought before.
The procedures for the 26 suspects detained as part of the investigation into the armed criminal organization led by the fugitive Uğurcan Gündoğmuş were completed at the police station, as announced by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
20 PEOPLE ARRESTED
Of the suspects sent to the courthouse, 20 were arrested by the court, while 3 were released under judicial control and 3 were released upon the prosecutor's instruction.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the investigation into the armed criminal organization led by the fugitive Uğurcan Gündoğmuş, it was determined that 59 suspects were involved in 11 actions such as "intentional murder," "attempted intentional murder," "shooting at a workplace," and "grenade attack" using stolen vehicles or motorcycles in Istanbul.
Following this, the teams of the Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Fighting Branch took action and detained 26 suspects in their operations.
It was determined that 22 of the suspects were already in prison for other crimes, while 4 were found to be abroad.
Efforts to capture the fugitive suspects are ongoing.
