The governorship announced that the individuals involved have been apprehended and legal proceedings have been initiated against them.

In Sakarya, 2 female students shared footage of themselves watching an adult film in the mosque of their student dormitory on their social media accounts.

The female students captioned the photo they shared: "I'm showing my friend a gay film in the mosque, the ambience is great, we also ordered pizza, but unfortunately, we don't have any cola, those who have cola can come."

SAKARYA GOVERNORATE TOOK ACTION

As the footage spread rapidly, the growing backlash prompted the Sakarya Governorate to take action. The Governorate announced that the two young girls had been caught and legal proceedings had been initiated against them, with notable statements included in the announcement.

In a post made from the Sakarya Governorate's X account, the following statements were made: "It has been determined that images captured while watching pornographic content in an environment deemed to be a mosque, shared by a user with the nickname 'betty' on the social media platform Twitter (X), were accompanied by the caption, 'I'm showing my friend a gay film in the mosque, the ambience is great, we also ordered pizza, but unfortunately, we don't have any cola, those who have cola can come.' As a result of the investigations, it has been established that the aforementioned post was made by 2 female students residing in a student dormitory, and the individuals have been apprehended and legal proceedings have been initiated against them. Respectfully announced to the public."
