The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, will meet with members of the Central Executive Board and the Party Assembly on Thursday ahead of the congress to be held in Ankara from November 28 to 30. It is anticipated that Özel will make changes to the key list he will present to the delegates for the PM member elections on November 30, and it has been learned that he will thank some individuals for their work up to this point and part ways with them.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will meet with the members of the Central Executive Board (MYK) and the Party Assembly (PM) on Thursday, ahead of the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress to be held in Ankara from November 28 to 30.
FIRST MEETING WITH MYK, THEN WITH PM MEMBERS
On November 27, Özel will first chair the MYK meeting at the party headquarters. The meeting, which will be closed to the press at 09:00, will evaluate the final preparations before the congress. After the MYK, Özel will also hold a meeting with PM members. The meeting, which will start at 10:00 with Özel's presentation, will discuss and finalize the working report prepared by the MYK for the 39th Ordinary Congress.
THANKING SOME NAMES AND PARTING WAYS
It is expected that Chairman Özgür Özel will make changes to the key list he will present to the delegates in the PM member elections to be held on November 30, unlike previous congresses. Therefore, Özel, who will meet with MYK and PM members in the meetings at the headquarters, will thank some names for their work to date.
PROVINCIAL CHAIRMEN TO GATHER AT HEADQUARTERS
The recently elected provincial chairmen of the CHP will also gather at the headquarters as part of the ordinary congress. All 81 provincial chairmen will successively hold the Provincial Chairmen's Meeting, Program Preparation Commission Meeting, Statute Preparation Commission Meeting, and Result Declaration Preparation Commission Meeting.
CHANGE IN PARTY STATUTE PLANNED
On the first day of the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress, November 28, the prepared party program will be presented for the delegates' approval. Additionally, changes such as increasing the number of PM members from 60 to 80 and lowering the age limit in the youth branches to between 18 and 40 are also planned. Thus, over 1300 registered delegates of the party will vote on the new party program as well as on some articles in the party statute that are presented to them for amendment.
After the ordinary congress to be held at the Ankara Sports Hall from November 28 to 30, there will be a 3-day period for the announcement of the final election results and for objections. On the first Saturday after the congress, the CHP Chairman will visit Anıtkabir with the PM members determined at the congress. On the same day, the results of the PM meeting at the headquarters will be shared with the public regarding the new MYK members.
