23-year-old Sinan Ümit was shot and killed in front of his house in the Bornova district of Izmir. Following the incident, the police launched an operation to capture the assailant.

Sinan Ümit, who worked as a factory worker, was shot by a person who got out of a car as he was leaving his home to go to work. Ümit, hit by the bullets, fell to the ground in a pool of blood.

Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene following a tip-off from nearby residents. Ümit, who was seriously injured, was taken to Ege University Hospital after the first intervention by the health teams. Despite the doctors' efforts, Ümit could not be saved. Police teams initiated a search to capture the suspect who fled the area in a car.
