In Kayseri, 39-year-old İlknur Ekinci, who was hospitalized with a suspicion of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), could not be saved despite the interventions. Ekinci had removed the tick that had attached to her body during the slaughtering of an animal herself.

Ilknur Ekinci, a 39-year-old mother of three, who was being treated for suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) in Kayseri, has passed away. According to the information received, on the first day of Eid al-Adha, Ekinci, who went from the Talas district to the Kızılören neighborhood of Pınarbaşı district to sacrifice an animal, was bitten by a tick. After removing the tick that had attached to her body, Ekinci sought help at a health cabin in Talas when she started feeling unwell. After receiving an IV drip here, Ekinci returned home, but as her complaints increased, she was taken to Kayseri State Hospital.
DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS, SHE COULD NOT BE SAVED
Due to the worsening of her condition, Ekinci was transferred to Kayseri City Hospital, where she could not be saved despite intervention.
Ekinci's body was buried in Halef Hoca Cemetery after the funeral prayer held at Talas Dedeoğlu Mosque at noon. The funeral ceremony was attended by Ekinci's family and relatives, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, Hacılar Mayor Bilal Özdoğan, and citizens.
