In Elazığ, beggars who particularly occupy the areas in front of mosques and crowded places during Friday prayers were bewildered when they saw the municipal police teams. Emotional exploiters, who tried to hide by taking refuge in the mosque toilets and behind the minaret to cover their tracks, were caught as a result of the careful monitoring of the teams.

The teams of the Elazığ Municipality's Zoning Directorate conducted an operation against beggars who were asking for money from citizens by exploiting emotions throughout the city.

Beggars, who particularly occupied areas in front of mosques and places where citizens were densely located during Friday prayers, tried to escape when they noticed the teams.

Beggars who tried to hide in the mosque toilets and behind the minaret to cover their tracks were caught as a result of the careful monitoring by the teams.

LEGAL ACTION INITIATED

Legal action has been initiated against the beggars who were taken to the Zoning Directorate and searched.
