A change that affects millions of homeowners and citizens looking to buy a home will start on February 1. Hakan Akçam, the President of the All Real Estate Consultants Association, announced that the Electronic Announcement Verification System will also cover properties for sale starting from February 1, and that citizens will authorize real estate consultants through e-Government for property sale announcements.
Akçam stated in his evaluation to AA correspondent that the EIDS prevents the difficulties experienced in the sales process of real estate and initiates a clean listing process.
Pointing out that the final stage of the system will be completed next month, Akçam said, "The EIDS, which has been implemented for rental housing and commercial properties for about a year, will also cover residential properties for sale starting from February 1. Thus, all real estate in Turkey will be included in this system. Citizens will authorize a real estate consultant through e-Government to transfer their property for sale to the listing portal."
Akçam expressed that citizens can also specify the name of the relevant real estate consultant and the duration of the listing through the system.
"THE AUTHORITY TO SUBMIT MULTIPLE LISTINGS SHOULD BE REMOVED"
Stating that some minor changes need to be made in the system and that the authority to submit multiple listings should be prevented, Akçam continued:
"We want this to be removed by our ministry officials. The authority for multiple listings should be removed so that citizens can work with a real estate consultant and finalize the sale there. Additionally, we have an obligation to make an authorization contract with the property owner. This authorization contract approval should also be included in this portal. There are elderly people who cannot access e-Government, and our citizens living abroad have properties here. Solutions should be found for them as well. At least, they should be able to enter the system and give approval via phone. Similar to the approval in the 'Web Title Deed' application, this can also be done by phone."
"WORK WITH RESPONSIBLE REAL ESTATE CONSULTANTS"
Akçam emphasized that the listings will become more transparent and approved with the system, stating that the application will provide significant advantages in terms of institutionalization in the sector.
Also warning citizens who will put their properties up for sale, Akçam noted:
"They should work with responsible real estate consultants who have the authority for real estate trade. That is the purpose here. Let’s not hesitate to authorize the responsible real estate consultant through e-Government. Because the responsible real estate consultant has fulfilled all their legal responsibilities related to the state and has earned this authority. The address of secure shopping definitely goes through working with responsible real estate consultants."
