In the operation against ISIS in Yalova, where 3 heroic police officers were martyred, 6 ISIS militants who were neutralized in the clash with Special Operations police were buried in Bursa without even having their funeral prayers performed.
The bodies of 6 ISIS terrorists who martyred 3 police officers during a 7.5-hour conflict in the cell house raid in Yalova were buried according to the unclaimed funeral procedure.
3 POLICE OFFICERS WERE MARTYRED, 6 TERRORISTS WERE KILLED
In the operation carried out by the Yalova Provincial Police Department's Anti-Terrorism Branch teams on a two-story house on Seher Street in the İsmetpaşa neighborhood, where ISIS terrorists were located last month, police officers Yasin Koçyiğit, Turgut Külünk, and İlker Pehlivan were martyred as a result of the terrorists opening fire on the officers. Injured police officers Zekeriya Kınalı, Eren Çelik, Eren Işık Cihan Kadıoğlu, Yusuf Irak, and Akşemsettin Temel were treated at Yalova State Hospital. 6 terrorists, including Zafer Umutlu and Haşem Sordabak, were neutralized.
NOBODY CLAIMED THE TERRORIST BODIES
While the martyred police officers were buried after ceremonies held in their hometowns, no one claimed the bodies of the terrorists sent to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Morgue for autopsy. As there was no response to the call made by the forensic medicine to the families, the process was advanced by the state.
THEY WERE BURIED QUIETLY
The bodies of the 6 terrorists, whose families did not even come to collect the corpses, were processed for burial by the state after the 25-day period at the forensic medicine. The 6 terrorists were buried quietly and under strict security measures in the locations determined by the governorship in the Erdoğan Village and Hasköy cemeteries.
