It was claimed that the regulation, which was accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly's Planning and Budget Commission and foresaw a one-time salary increase of 30,000 TL for senior bureaucrats and managers, was withdrawn following reactions. It was suggested that the AK Party decided not to present the regulation to the general assembly due to criticisms that it would "disrupt the working peace" after the CHP's proposal for "those in the provinces to also benefit."
With the regulation accepted in the TBMM Planning and Budget Commission, an additional salary increase ranging from 1,433 TL to 54,180 TL was approved for approximately 34,200 career professionals and managers. It was planned for the additional raises to take effect from the new year and to be increased again in January along with the civil servant salary increase.
IT HAD BEEN ACCEPTED BY THE COMMISSION BUT...
According to NTV reporter Özgür Akbaş, although the proposal for a flat raise of 30,000 TL to be given to senior bureaucrats, managers, and career personnel was accepted by the commission, it was claimed to have been removed from the "Tax Package."
CRITICISM OF "DISRUPTING WORK PEACE"
There was no consensus in the commission after the CHP's statement that "those in the provinces should also benefit." It was claimed that the AK Party decided not to present the regulation to the general assembly due to criticisms that it would "disrupt work peace."
