In the investigation initiated upon the notification of the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority, it was determined that the suspects operating within Arex Insurance Inc. unlawfully benefited from "guarantee insurance contracts." In a simultaneous operation conducted in 8 provinces, 18 individuals were detained, and a request was made for the appointment of a trustee to impose temporary measures on the company.
Upon the notification of the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK), the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated an investigation.
THEY RECEIVED EXORBITANT PAYMENTS
Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that the suspects operating under Arex Insurance Inc. received exorbitant payments outside of premiums from insured companies in distress under the name of "guarantee insurance contracts."
UNLAWFUL BENEFITS OBTAINED
It was also found that the suspects obtained unlawful benefits by manipulating the premiums stated in the policies through affiliated agents.
18 PEOPLE DETAINED
Simultaneous capture, detention, search, and seizure operations were carried out in 8 different provinces against a total of 30 suspects for whom detention orders were issued. In the operations, 18 people were detained, while efforts to capture 12 suspects who are on the run continue.
REQUEST FOR TRUSTEESHIP FOR THE COMPANY
Additionally, a request was made to the peace criminal court for the appointment of a trustee to Arex Insurance Inc., which had its activities previously suspended by SEDDK, in order to implement temporary measures for the company.
