While the Israel-Iran war continues, President Erdoğan spoke on the phone with Russian leader Putin after Iranian President Pezeshkian. In the conversation, Erdoğan stated that the Netanyahu government's lawless attitude poses a clear threat to the international system and that the region cannot tolerate another war.

As the Israel-Iran war continues on its 4th day, President Erdoğan is maintaining his diplomatic traffic. After meeting with Iranian President Pezeshkian, Erdoğan held a critical meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

STATEMENT FROM THE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTORATE

In a written statement regarding the Erdoğan-Putin meeting from the Communications Directorate; "Our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The discussions covered the conflict between Israel and Iran, bilateral relations, and regional issues.

"THE REGION CANNOT TOLERATE A NEW WAR"

President Erdoğan stated that the spiral of violence that began with Israel's attacks on Iran poses a risk to the security of the entire region, that the lawless attitude of the Netanyahu government constitutes a clear threat to the international system, and that the region cannot tolerate a new war.

Our President emphasized that Turkey has prioritized diplomatic initiatives to end the attacks since day one, that the only way to resolve issues with Iran is through diplomacy, and that negotiations should be resumed as soon as possible. President Erdoğan pointed out the importance of ensuring that Israel's attacks on Iran do not divert attention from the genocide in Gaza, while expressing that the likelihood of Israel engaging in faits accomplis in the region is high.
