Following complaints about disturbing behaviors towards tourists, including torch-lit and nude dance shows held at some entertainment venues in Marmaris, an inspection was initiated. Acting on the instructions of the district governor's office, law enforcement teams identified various violations, including documentation deficiencies. As a result of the inspections, 14 establishments were fined with closure penalties.
Inspections were initiated following complaints that shows held in some entertainment venues in Marmaris, Muğla, disturbed local and foreign tourists. The District Police Department teams, which were activated upon the instructions of the Marmaris District Governor's Office, scrutinized many businesses.
TEAMS HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED
During the inspections carried out in the İçmeler, Uzunyalı, and Armutalan regions, complaints regarding torch shows, nude dance performances, and disturbing behaviors were evaluated, while violations of regulations, such as document deficiencies, were also identified.
After the inspections:
- 2 businesses were permanently closed due to document deficiencies.
- 9 businesses received a closure penalty for 7 days,
- and 3 businesses received a closure penalty for 3 days.
SEALS WERE PLACED ON THEIR DOORS
Following the implementation of the closure decisions, the Marmaris Municipality Zoning teams sealed the mentioned businesses. Some businesses shared their closure decisions with the public through their social media accounts.
INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE
Marmaris District Governor's Office and District Police Department officials stated that inspections will continue to increase. The statement emphasized that all businesses must operate in accordance with the regulations and should not disrupt public order during the tourism season.
