Famous singer Ece Seçkin was shaken by death threats from an obsessive fan who has been harassing her and her close circle for about 4 years. A.U.S., who was taken into custody, was released under judicial control. However, the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office appealed this decision.
Famous singer Ece Seçkin announced on her social media account that she has been subjected to verbal harassment and threats for years by an obsessive fan. Seçkin stated that the person, who she claims is a schizophrenic, recently sent death threats to her husband, Çağrı Terlemez, and called for help last night.

Ece Seçkin stated in her post that the person she claims is a schizophrenic recently sent death threats to her husband: "Help. For about 4 years, I have been persistently followed by this person, who believes he is my 'husband,' and has been verbally harassing and threatening me and my close circle. Last night, he waited for hours at a café near my husband Çağrı Terlemez's simulator program launch and sent him messages saying, 'I will kill you, I am right next to you.'
"HE IS THREATENING TO KILL US"
This person, who lives outside of Istanbul, has turned our lives into a nightmare by coming kilometers to harass us with calls from different numbers, despite multiple restraining orders. At this point, he is clearly indicating that he aims to come directly to us and kill us. Moreover, he has repeatedly stated that he will kill not only us but also his own family.
"IT HAS BECOME UNBEARABLE"
The person is currently at the police station, but by law, he will be released shortly. The police have done their job, but the helplessness of the law at this point is dragging us into great danger. This situation, which we have been taking precautions against for 4 years due to his illness, has now become unbearable for us. This person needs to be urgently controlled for both his own safety and the safety of the community before being released. Please do not allow this person to be set free."
HE WAS DETAINED, RELEASED
A.U.S., who is alleged to have threatened singer Ece Seçkin and her husband, was detained by the Bakırköy District Police Department teams upon the couple's complaint. After his procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the Bakırköy Courthouse, where he was brought before the duty magistrate for a request for arrest on charges of "threat" and "stalking."
The magistrate decided to release the suspect under judicial control.
THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE APPEALED
The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office appealed against the release of the suspect. The prosecutor's office stated that A.U.S.'s release poses a risk to both Seçkin and her family, as well as to the community, and requested a reevaluation of the decision.
