The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that the deadly Sudan virus is spreading worldwide and rapidly causing deaths. Experts have called for urgent measures, stating that the virus leads to fatal outcomes with symptoms similar to those of Ebola.

The World Health Organization (WHO) issued a warning stating that the virus known as the Sudan virus is spreading worldwide and rapidly killing those it infects.

"THE VIRUS IS AT A DEADLY LEVEL"

In the warning issued by the WHO, it was stated that the virus is at a deadly level. The WHO emphasized that individuals infected with the virus may experience fever, abdominal pain, fatigue, weakness, sore throat, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, regional bleeding, bruising, kidney failure, and multiple organ failure.

Additionally, it was highlighted that cataracts and uveitis (inflammation of the eye) caused by the virus, as well as permanent infections in the central nervous system, may occur.

TRANSMISSION THROUGH DIRECT CONTACT

The WHO stated that the disease is transmitted from person to person through direct contact with blood, body fluids, and objects contaminated with the virus.

"IT RESEMBLES EBOLA"

The Sudan virus first emerged in 1976 and has caused an outbreak for the ninth time. In the most recent outbreak in 2022, 164 cases were reported, with 77 fatalities.

Experts noted that the Sudan virus is very similar to Ebola; both viruses have high mortality rates and cause similar symptoms.
