Norway's Ambassador to Amman, Mona Juul, mentioned in newly released documents related to billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who is accused of establishing a sex trafficking network targeting children in the U.S., has been suspended from her position until the investigation is concluded.
The Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan, Mona Juul, whose name appeared in newly released documents regarding billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being prosecuted for establishing a network of sexual exploitation and prostitution of underage girls in the U.S., has been suspended from her position.

Following the announcement by U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche that they have shared more than 3 million new files related to the investigation into Epstein with the public, the name of Norwegian diplomat Juul was also included in the documents. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide stated in an interview with NRK, a national broadcaster, "Juul will not serve as ambassador until the investigation is clarified. We made this decision in consultation with her." Eide, who mentioned that they are examining Juul's relationship with Epstein, said he did not want to provide further details as the investigation is ongoing.

In her assessment to NRK, Juul stated, "I want to be completely open about my communication with Epstein. I am in dialogue with the Foreign Ministry and I am fully cooperating to provide complete transparency."
"I WAS NOT A MEDIATOR IN ESTABLISHING CONNECTIONS"
Juul, who reported that Epstein was in contact with her husband Terje Rod Larsen, said, "I have had no independent social or professional relationship with Epstein. I was not a mediator in establishing connections with Epstein, nor did I facilitate any."
CALLS FOR RESIGNATION ARE RISING
The leader of the Liberal Party in Norway, Guri Melby, has called for Juul, whose name appeared in the Epstein documents, to resign from her ambassadorial position.
THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN CASE
Epstein, who was prosecuted for sexually abusing dozens of girls under the age of 18, including the youngest being 14, and for establishing a prostitution network, was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, on August 10, 2019. The released Epstein case files included famous names such as former Prince Andrew, U.S. President Donald Trump, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.
The FBI also stated that as a result of its investigation with the U.S. Department of Justice, there was no evidence that a "client list" consisting of famous individuals was maintained, and it concluded that Epstein, who was alleged to have been murdered to cover up the crimes of individuals including government officials, celebrities, and businesspeople, actually committed suicide in his cell.
