Famous actor Ufuk Özkan, who is undergoing treatment for cirrhosis and liver failure, is entering a liver transplant surgery that will last 11 hours. Before the surgery, Özkan made a statement on his social media account, stating that he has no fears and is ready and hopeful. Özkan thanked his former set partner Salih Kıvırcık, who is the donor for the transplant, expressing that this process has given him another brother. He said, "Salih is no longer just a companion on the road, he is a piece of my soul, my own brother."
Famous actor Ufuk Özkan, who is undergoing treatment for cirrhosis and liver failure, will undergo surgery for a liver transplant at 07:00 in the morning. Before the critical operation, which is expected to last approximately 11 hours, Özkan shared his feelings about the process on his social media account.
"I AM READY, PATIENT, AND HOPEFUL"
Emphasizing that he is extremely calm and determined before the surgery, Özkan stated in his post: "God willing, I will enter my liver transplant surgery, which will last approximately 11 hours, tomorrow. I have no fear. I am ready, patient, and hopeful."
Özkan expressed, "I sincerely thank my valuable colleagues, my viewers, and everyone who has supported me with their prayers since the first day of my illness. I have come close to the end of this process that we have walked together. God willing, I will enter my liver transplant surgery, which will last approximately 11 hours, tomorrow. I have no fear; I am ready, patient, and hopeful. I especially thank the invaluable Prof. Dr. Onur Yaprak, Prof. Dr. Murat Dayangaç, and Organ Transplant Coordinator Dr. Instructor Member Esin Gülkaya Anık, who contributed to this long process. I am grateful to my nurse sisters, assistant doctors, interns, and all healthcare workers who changed my serum while I was sleeping, never left my side, and did not compromise their kindness. I also fondly remember Sibel, who turned a blind eye to my little escapades and uplifted my spirits with her meals. Additionally, I consider it my duty to thank Ms. Sevim Emre, Ms. Elif, and Mr. Orhan Gencebay, who have been by my side with their support and presence. And I extend my greatest thanks to our former Minister of Health, Mr. Fahrettin Koca, for his interest, support, and hospitality; I want to express my gratitude to him as a debt. As I always say: We did not leave the doorstep; do not leave either. Prayers have been my guardian. No matter how much I thank you all, it is never enough," he stated.

In his statement, Ufuk Özkan also made a special mention of his old set friend Salih Kıvırcık, who is the donor for the liver transplant. Özkan noted that this challenging process has given him a very special bond, saying: "This process has given me another brother.
