Responding to criticisms regarding the determination of the lowest pension amount as 20,000 TL, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu stated, "In Gabar, which we have cleared of terrorism, we see that with the supply of high-gravity oil exceeding 80,000 barrels per day and the natural gas reserve of 710 billion cubic meters reaching our households, it will remain in the pocket of our state. These resources will be delivered as a welfare difference to all segments of society, especially our retirees, to increase the standard of living."

While criticisms regarding the determination of the lowest pension amount at 20,000 TL continue, a striking statement came from the AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu.

HE POINTED TO THE OIL EXTRACTED IN GABAR

In a part of the press conference he held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Akbaşoğlu responded to the reactions regarding pension salaries, pointing to the oil extracted in Gabar as a solution. Akbaşoğlu stated that with the increase in production in the region, prosperity would rise, and this would be reflected to retirees as a 'share of prosperity.'

Statement from the AK Party regarding pension salaries

"THESE RESOURCES WILL REACH ALL SEGMENTS OF SOCIETY, ESPECIALLY OUR RETIREES, AS A DIFFERENCE IN PROSPERITY LEVEL"

Part of Akbaşoğlu's statements regarding the issue is as follows: "Especially in our national and domestic energy initiative, we see that the billions of dollars we have spent abroad will remain in our state's pocket with the high-gravity oil supply of over 80,000 barrels per day from Gabar, which we have currently cleared of terrorism, and with our natural gas reserve of 710 billion cubic meters reaching our households. These resources will be delivered to all segments of society, especially our retirees, as a means to increase the level of prosperity, as a difference in prosperity."
