The leader of the New Welfare Party, Fatih Erbakan, who has given conditional support to the People's Alliance regarding the decision to dissolve the terrorist organization PKK, stated, "We reiterate our concerns and anxieties. We remind that the answers to the questions we will express here need to be provided," and posed 10 questions.
Fatih Erbakan, the Chairman of the New Welfare Party, made statements regarding the terrorist organization PKK's congress, dissolution, and disarmament decision. Expressing that they will support the 'Terror-free Turkey' process, Erbakan stated, "We reiterate our concerns and anxieties once again," and posed 10 questions.
Stating that they are closely following the process, Erbakan said, "When we briefly recall the past, the visible picture is a horrifying tableau filled with chilling murders. For 40 years, the PKK terrorist organization has continued its actions in our country, causing the deaths of tens of thousands of our citizens. Even if they have made a dissolution decision, the murders committed with monstrous feelings and the traps set are before our eyes. There is no doubt that the PKK is an organization established by external powers. It is a terrorist organization established with the aim of preventing Turkey's development and fragmenting Turkey," he said.
"WE SUPPORT THE GOAL OF A TERROR-FREE TURKEY, BUT..."
Expressing their astonishment at the declaration of members of the terrorist organization as peace ambassadors, Erbakan stated, "More than 40,000 of our citizens, police officers, and soldiers have lost their lives, and along with this, our Kurdish brothers have suffered the most, with thousands of Kurdish citizens also losing their lives, being injured, and being negatively affected. The buses that were stopped and burned because there were soldiers returning from their missions are still fresh in our minds. The fallen doctors, engineers, and district governors are still in our thoughts. Families have been torn apart, homes have been destroyed. Along with the loss of life, the cost of this 40-year betrayal to our country is expressed in billions of dollars. The greatest damage has been suffered by our Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions. Under these circumstances, we are experiencing the astonishment, sadness, and resentment of the members of the separatist terrorism being declared as peace ambassadors. Despite everything, with cautious and prudent optimism, we hope that they do not have another agenda. We hope that we are not transitioning to a new version of betrayal or a different phase of terrorism, and we express that we support the goal of a Terror-free Turkey and will continue to do so. On this occasion, we commemorate our martyrs and veterans with gratitude," he said.
POSED 10 QUESTIONS
Continuing his remarks, Erbakan said, "We reiterate our concerns and anxieties once again. We remind that the answers to the questions we will express here need to be provided," and posed 10 questions.
- Our first question is, will all other organizations affiliated and related to the PKK, which has made a dissolution decision, also be dissolved?
- When and where will the equipment and ammunition of the PKK, which has made a dissolution decision, including heavy weapons, be delivered to Turkey?
- Who and how will it be controlled whether the PKK complies with these commitments, whether it transfers its equipment and ammunition to parallel terrorist organizations in the field, and whether all of this ammunition is delivered to Turkey?
- It is evident that while the PKK makes a dissolution decision, the PYD and YPG, which are its main branches, will not be affected by this decision. In this case, the PYD/YPG, which is on the agenda to become the backbone of the Syrian army, poses a serious threat to Turkey. At this point, is the danger of Turkey being adjacent to a terrorist army, of which the PYD/YPG forms the main backbone, being taken into account while one side is eliminating the terrorist organization? Have the risks been calculated?
- Will the actions of the leadership cadres of the terrorist organization go unpunished? When and where will the senior executives be tried?
- Is it sufficiently convincing that terrorist organizations and activities with roots and designs outside will withdraw from actions against Turkey without gaining new and more advanced positions in Syria? Or is the current first target to gain a position in Syria, perhaps to become a small state in Syria, and subsequently destabilize Iran, Iraq, and Turkey again?
- It is evident that such plans in the Middle East cannot be realized without the involvement of the US and Israel, who are the patrons, trainers, and suppliers of the YPG and PYD. At this point, what is the position of the US and Israel in this process?
- What will be given as a reward to the terrorist leader Öcalan, who has enabled the dissolution of the PKK and gained public trust? Is there any negotiation regarding this? Will Öcalan be released, will he benefit from the right to hope? Will he be allowed to engage in politics, or will he be moved from Imralı to Ankara?
- For example, where does the new constitution stand in this? Who is being consulted behind closed doors, and what is being discussed? What articles are being considered for addition or removal from the constitution?
- Will our unitary structure be preserved? Or will Turkey suddenly become a federation one night?
