Fluctuations in global markets, volatility in exchange rates, and consecutive increases in special consumption tax (ÖTV) are directly affecting fuel prices.
1 TL INCREASE IN LPG PRICES TOMORROW
According to information obtained from industry sources, it is anticipated that there will be a 1 TL increase in autogas (LPG) prices starting from tomorrow (October 2, Thursday).
HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?
Fuel prices are determined by considering the Brent crude oil price traded in international markets, the exchange rate, and refinery costs. In addition to these costs, margins set by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), as well as distributor and dealer shares, are added. In the final stage, the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) and Value Added Tax (KDV) are added to create the pump price. Therefore, even the slightest fluctuation in global oil markets and currency movements directly reflects on fuel prices in Turkey.
