In the Ayvalık district of Balıkesir, a forest fire started around 15:30 in the Kilise Tepe area of the Mutluköy neighborhood, which is covered with olive trees.
It was reported that the fire was intervened both from the air and the ground with 1 helicopter, 2 planes, 4 water trucks, 2 water tankers, and forest teams, as well as 4 vehicles and 3 rangers from the Ayvalık Fire Department Group Directorate, under the coordination of the Balıkesir Regional Directorate of Forestry.
