Özbek, regarding the management change at Fenerbahçe, said, "Yes, I called Mr. Saran and congratulated him. There was a management change that came with the election. As Galatasaray, our aim has always been to desire that the ongoing sports competition remains on the fields. The stakeholders of football and sports must have fair management as a necessity. In the past, we had a high-tension, strained relationship with our rival outside of sports activities. My and my friends' wish is that this tension does not continue," he said.
"WE NEED THE UNIFYING POWER OF SPORTS"
Galatasaray President emphasized that the tension in Turkish football needs to decrease, stating, "I wish that our sports activities are in accordance with a sense of brotherhood that everyone is satisfied with, and the unifying feature of sports. My expectation is that the new management of our rival responds similarly to our feelings. Turkey should be freed from the polarization and tension within this sport. This is our aim. Hopefully, it will be so," he said.

Özbek, finally wishing success to the new Fenerbahçe management, said, "I hope our country reaches the climate it expects from sports. With that intention, I called and congratulated the newly elected management. In their future activities, I expect the new management to work towards providing more beautiful football for Turkish sports and exhibiting a more brotherly football. I am in such an expectation," he expressed.
