During the time customers were in the pastry shop located on Mavi Boulevard in the Yeşilyurt neighborhood of central Seyhan district in Adana, a person threw a bomb into the shop.

The incident caused a brief panic, and it was understood that the pin of the hand grenade was not pulled. Upon the notification of the pastry shop owner, police teams were dispatched to the area. The suspect, whose description was determined, was caught by the police before he could escape the area. The suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, was taken into custody and brought to the police station.
The police closed the boulevard to one-way traffic and, under extensive security measures, retrieved the grenade from its location and took it to the Bomb Disposal and Investigation Branch Directorate for forensic examination. After the completion of the work, the road was reopened to traffic. The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
