With the collaboration of the Siirt Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate and the Siirt Provincial Gendarmerie Command, a fine of 26,911 lira was imposed on a person without a hunting license.
PENALTY FOR ILLEGAL HUNTER
During the hunting protection and control activities carried out by the Environmental, Nature, and Animal Protection Team Command of the Siirt Provincial Gendarmerie Command, the Ziyaret Gendarmerie Station Command, and the Siirt Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate, in the rural area of Ziyaret Village in the Baykan district of Siirt, a total fine of 26,911 TL was imposed on one person for hunting three woodcock with a shotgun in a closed hunting area without a hunting license, in violation of the Law No. 4915 on Land Hunting.
It was reported that any illegal hunting activities in the region are expected to be reported to the Siirt Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate and law enforcement through the 112 Emergency Call Center. It was noted that efforts to combat illegal hunting activities, which are the most significant threat to wildlife in the province, will continue resolutely.
