The President of Sonar Research, Hakan Bayrakçı, shared the results of the latest political survey. Bayrakçı evaluated voter tendencies against the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, party vote rates, and the preferences of DEM Party voters. According to the research, the vote rate of the MHP has dropped to its lowest level in the last 25 years.
Sonar Research President Hakan Bayrakçı shared the results of the latest political research on Bahar Feyzan's program.
Bayrakçı stated that voter tendencies were measured, especially regarding the second opening process referred to as "Terror-Free Turkey," and noted that the highest support for the process came from DEM Party voters, followed by the bases of MHP and AK Party.
"18% OF DEM PARTY VOTERS SAY I CAN SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT"
A striking result in the research was the future election preferences of DEM Party voters. Only 18.8% of voters identifying as DEM Party stated that they could vote for the government, while 49.4% expressed that they would support the opposition. Bayrakçı said, "Even if this process was initiated by MHP or AK Party, there is no indication that DEM Party voters are leaning towards the government."
45% SAY "YES" TO DEMİRTAŞ QUESTION
The public's approach to the release of Selahattin Demirtaş was also discussed in the program. Bayrakçı emphasized that 45.3% of participants responded "Yes, he should be released," highlighting that this is a trend that transcends party lines. Reminding that Demirtaş's past political strategies aimed to be a party of Turkey, Bayrakçı stated, "Demirtaş's position is not the same as Öcalan's."
MHP AT ITS LOWEST VOTE IN A QUARTER OF A CENTURY
One of the most striking findings of the research was the vote rate of MHP. Bayrakçı announced, "This month we measured MHP at 4.4%. This is the lowest level in the last 25 years." He explained that the significant decline in support for the party is primarily due to the MHP base not fully embracing the support given to the process.
Bayrakçı conveyed that AK Party voters approached the process more cautiously, stating that while support for the government continues, there is a drop of around 10%. He noted that CHP voters, in particular, expressed discomfort with the increased visibility of Öcalan.
ALLEGATION OF "SPYING" ABOUT İMAMOĞLU
The allegation of "spying" directed at Ekrem İmamoğlu and his team was also questioned in the program. Bayrakçı revealed that 53.8% of respondents found this allegation unrealistic, while 24.7% said, "Yes, there is spying." He pointed out that even a portion of AK Party voters approached the allegation with skepticism, stating that the numerous lawsuits filed have decreased credibility in the eyes of voters.
"CHP IS AROUND 35-36%"
Bayrakçı highlighted that the personal qualities of candidates are decisive in local elections, stating that 53.7% of voters prioritize candidate criteria when voting, while the influence of the party has decreased to 14%.
According to Sonar's current measurements, the vote rate of CHP is between 35-36%. The Victory Party is measured at around 4%, while the New Welfare Party is in the 2-2.5% range.
