Four children aged between 13 and 15, who damaged a bird's nest in a park in Adana, were caught after being captured on security cameras. The court sentenced the children, who were referred to the courthouse following the incident that drew public outrage, to house arrest.
Four children aged between 13 and 15 in Adana broke a bird's nest in a park by knocking it down. After the incident, the children were caught by the police and sentenced to house arrest by the court they were brought before.
THEY SHOOK THE POLE AND KNOCKED DOWN THE NEST
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on January 31 at around 4:30 PM in Dinazor Park located in the 100th Year Neighborhood of the central Çukurova district. The four children who came to the park began to shake the pole where the bird's nest was located. After the frightened birds flew away from the nest, the children uprooted the pole and destroyed the nest.
CHILDREN IDENTIFIED FROM CAMERA RECORDINGS
As the events were captured second by second on security cameras, the situation was reported to the police upon noticing the incident. The footage clearly showed the moments when the children shook and toppled the pole.
As a result of the examination of the camera recordings by the Child Branch teams of the Provincial Police Department, it was determined that the children who damaged the bird's nest were A.A. (14), N.E.A. (15), İ.B.O. (15), and Y.E.O. (13).
HOUSE ARREST DECISION FROM THE COURT
The four children whose identities were identified were taken into custody. After their procedures at the police station, the children were referred to the courthouse, where they were sentenced to house arrest by the court they were brought before.
