In the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, following the claims made by businessman Adem Soytekin, who provided a statement under the scope of 'effective remorse', Mustafa Keleş, the son of the detained suspect Fatih Keleş, who is the president of the İBB Sports Club, and his nephew Murat Keleş were arrested by the court to which they were brought.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing its corruption investigation against suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested and removed from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), on charges of 'being a leader of a criminal organization', 'being a member of a criminal organization', 'bribery', 'qualified fraud', 'illegally obtaining personal data', and 'interfering with a tender'.

Following the statement given by businessman Adem Soytekin under the provisions of 'effective remorse', the arrested suspects, IBB Sports Club President Fatih Keleş's son Mustafa Keleş and his nephew Murat Keleş, who were detained yesterday, were brought to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after their procedures at the police station.

THEY WERE ARRESTED

The suspects were referred to the court with a request for their arrest on charges of 'receiving bribes' and 'being a member of an organization established for the purpose of committing crimes' after the prosecutor's procedures. The duty magistrate court decided to arrest the suspects.

WHO IS FATİH KELEŞ?

Fatih Keleş, one of the closest associates of Ekrem İmamoğlu, had come to the agenda with footage of money counting at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency. Keleş, referred to as İmamoğlu's 'right-hand man' and 'treasurer', was found to have seized undisclosed funds during searches conducted at his office in Florya. Keleş is among the suspects who are currently detained in the corruption investigation against the IBB.
