Images have emerged of an attempted assault on Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey by a former CHP municipal council member and his brother. The footage shows the moment when the individuals launched the attack while Bozbey was speaking at the podium, and the intervention of police and municipal officers.

Mustafa Bozbey, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, met with citizens in the Değirmenönü neighborhood of the Yıldırım district as part of the "President Here Project." While Mayor Bozbey was giving a speech at the podium, former council member Recep B. and his brother Şaban B. attempted to attack Bozbey by lunging towards the podium.

The attackers were neutralized by the protective police and the municipal officers present there. A brief panic occurred at the podium, and the individuals were taken to the police department.

Footage of the physical attack on Bozbey has emerged. The moments when the individual, who is reported to be a former CHP municipal council member, and his brother attempted to overturn the podium and attack Mayor Bozbey were recorded second by second. The protection and municipal officers assigned by the police department quickly neutralized the attacking brother and sibling.

ATTACK ATTEMPT MADE AFTER JOB APPLICATION WAS REJECTED

It was claimed that Recep B. attempted the attack because his job application was rejected. Furthermore, after the incident, Bozbey, who received a medical report, was also called to give a statement. The attackers will be sent to the courthouse after their interrogation.
