The businessman Adnan Bıçakçı, who was detained on the allegation of having smuggled Emrah Bağdatlı, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Media A.Ş., a fugitive suspect in the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, abroad, has been arrested on charges of "membership in an organization established for the purpose of committing a crime."
In the ongoing corruption investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) following his arrest, are being investigated for charges of "being a leader of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "bribery," "extortion," "qualified fraud," "illegally obtaining personal data," and "interfering with a tender."

HE WAS ARRESTED The peace criminal court decided to arrest Bıçakçı for the charge of "being a member of an organization established for the purpose of committing a crime."
