The number of provinces where operations were conducted against Maydonoz Döner for allegedly providing financing to FETÖ has risen to 32, while the number of suspects taken into custody has increased to 372. After their procedures at the police station, 4 of the suspects who were sent to the courthouses are public employees, and 126 individuals have been arrested. Meanwhile, 156 of the suspects were released under judicial control.
Maydonoz Döner, which was subjected to an operation for allegedly providing financing to FETÖ, has been assigned a trustee, and 353 suspects have been detained. Recently, the number of provinces where operations were conducted against the company has increased to 32, while the number of detained suspects has risen to 372.
126 PEOPLE ARRESTED, 4 OF WHOM ARE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects who were referred to the courthouses and brought before the on-duty judges after the prosecutor's procedures included 4 public employees among the 126 people arrested. While 156 of the suspects were released under judicial control, 90 were released from the police and prosecutors' offices.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on February 21 via his social media account that in the Kıskaç-40 operation, which was simultaneously conducted against FETÖ in 31 provinces centered in Antalya, 353 suspects, including 10 public personnel, were captured for providing financing to the organization through a döner restaurant chain. It was later revealed that the restaurant chain in question was Maydonoz Döner, and a trustee was appointed by the TMSF to the company, which has 410 branches across Turkey.
