In Antalya, a car managed by Bekir Tatlı overturned into a ditch after the driver lost control. In the accident, Tatlı's wife, their 2-month-old baby, and his 11-year-old sister-in-law lost their lives. It was learned that the police officer was on his way to Adıyaman, where he had been assigned with his family.
Police officer Bekir Tatlı (37), who was on duty in Antalya, had an accident in Konya while traveling to Adıyaman with his family. In the accident, Bekir Tatlı, his mother-in-law Gülnur Genç (63), and his father-in-law Bayram Genç (59) were injured, while his wife Feyzanur Tatlı (32), their 2-month-old son Bilge Kaan Tatlı, and his sister-in-law Ayşe Sultan Genç (11) lost their lives.
The accident occurred around 5:00 PM near the Derebucak district on the Antalya-Konya highway. The car driven by police officer Bekir Tatlı, who was heading to Adıyaman, lost control and overturned into the ditch. Following reports from drivers who witnessed the accident, gendarmerie, health, and fire teams were dispatched to the scene. In the examination conducted by the health teams, driver Bekir Tatlı, his mother-in-law Gülnur Genç, and his father-in-law Bayram Genç were injured, while his wife Feyzanur Tatlı, their 2-month-old son Bilge Kaan Tatlı, and his sister-in-law Ayşe Sultan Genç lost their lives at the scene. The three injured individuals were taken to Beyşehir State Hospital by ambulances after the first intervention. Bekir Tatlı, who was in critical condition, was later transferred to Meram Medical Faculty in Konya.
It was learned that Bekir Tatlı was on his way to Adıyaman, where he had been assigned, with his family. The funerals of his wife, son, and sister-in-law, who lost their lives, are expected to be sent to their hometown Kocaeli for burial after the autopsy.
