It has emerged that the main reason Youssef En-Nesyri rejected the transfer to Juventus was the salary difference; the Moroccan striker was unwilling to go on loan and waive his salary.
One of the most talked-about names at Fenerbahçe during the transfer window, Youssef En-Nesyri, continues to stay with the team despite the rumors of his departure. While the yellow-navy management continues its efforts to strengthen the striker position, the Moroccan forward's decision has stalled the process.
REJECTED JUVENTUS
It has been learned that the Italian giant Juventus made a loan offer for En-Nesyri, and that the Fenerbahçe management was open to this offer. However, the 28-year-old player clearly rejected the transfer by saying, "I will not go on loan." The salary proposed for the next season, should Juventus exercise the purchase option, was also not accepted by En-Nesyri.
THE ISSUE IS THE SALARY DIFFERENCE
It was stated that En-Nesyri, who earns 8 million euros annually, requested that the salary difference in his contract, which runs until June 2029, be covered by Fenerbahçe. Due to this request from the Moroccan player, the transfer negotiations have reached a deadlock.
CONTINUING TO WORK WITH THE TEAM
Despite all these developments, En-Nesyri continues to train with the team at the Samandıra Can Bartu Facilities. Although the management is in search of a new striker, plans are being reconsidered following the star player's decision.
