Meanwhile, Kocaelispor President Recep Durul has requested the deportation of Skriniar, who made inappropriate gestures towards the stands, from the country.
In the 20th week of the Super League, Kocaelispor lost 2-0 at home to Fenerbahçe. After the yellow-blue team's goal, Milan Skriniar's gesture towards the stands received a strong reaction from the green-blacks. Kocaelispor Club took action for Skriniar to be penalized.
Kocaelispor's Application to TFF
Kocaelispor Club announced that an application was made to TFF for the punishment of Slovak defender Milan Skriniar.
Here is Kocaelispor's statement:
"As everyone in the football community is aware, there was a disgraceful act by a Fenerbahçe player towards our stands during the match we played last night. However, this act cannot be considered merely as an action directed at our fans. This act is a clear attack and insult to the Turkey Football Federation, our rival Fenerbahçe, and the moral values of our country.
Due to this disgrace, all necessary actions have been taken by our club, but the biggest reaction should come from Fenerbahçe Club and all football lovers, both biased and unbiased, in our country. As of today, our club has made an application to the legal bodies of the Turkey Football Federation for the imposition of a disciplinary sanction against the relevant individual in accordance with the relevant articles of the Football Disciplinary Regulation.
We have no doubt that this individual will receive the punishment they deserve from the Turkey Football Federation. When this individual comes to our stadium as a player again, our fans will show the attention and interest that this individual deserves. We remind that the biggest punishment should be given by the Fenerbahçe Sports Club, where this individual currently plays football, for attacking the ethical and moral values of our football and our country," it was stated.
'SHOULD BE DEPORTED FROM THE COUNTRY'
On the other hand, Kocaelispor Club President Recep Durul also made statements regarding the issue, addressing the Turkey Football Federation, Fenerbahçe Club President Sadettin Saran, and the yellow-blue individuals operating in Kocaeli, and requested that Skriniar's license be revoked and that he be deported from the country.
