Happy May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day to our workers who grow our country with their existence and overcome every difficulty together. To many beautiful tomorrows, hand in hand..."

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, in a message he published regarding the significance and importance of the day, said, "Happy May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day to all workers who build the Century of Turkey with their labor and sweat."

Işıkhan used the following expressions in another message he published: "I celebrate May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day for all my worker and laborer brothers who have made great contributions to our country reaching today with their sweat and dedicated efforts."

Our ancient civilization, which sees the only way to make the state and the nation eternal in preserving human life, has been the defender of the labor and sweat it has deemed sacred in these lands for thousands of years, leading the establishment of rights and justice in every phase of social life.

We have worked tirelessly, under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has dedicated his life and all his efforts to the future of Turkey, to ensure that these values are remembered again and to serve as a cornerstone for the revolutionary steps we have taken in almost every field, especially in working life, throughout our 23-year development journey. We mobilized all our resources to find solutions to many issues such as ensuring that the efforts of our workers are recognized, improving working conditions, and protecting union freedoms, and to bring working life to standards worthy of our country's current level.

As cadres who have placed the consciousness of labor and solidarity at the center of our understanding of service to the nation, we will continue to stand unconditionally by our workers, who are the labor, sweat, and eye water of our country, as well as all our citizens, in every inch of our land, just as we have until today.

On this occasion, I express my gratitude to our worker brothers who have always been by our side in our march towards the Century of Turkey, believing in the strength of our country, and I hope that this exceptional day, celebrated as a symbol of unity, solidarity, and production all over the world, will be a milestone for the construction of a fairer and more peaceful working life.

"THE DAYS WHEN RESTRICTIONS WILL END ARE VERY NEAR"

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, in his post regarding May 1st, said, "Either Justice or Poverty!"

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu stated, "I celebrate May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day for our workers who earn their living with sweat and fight for their rightful existence with their halal bread."

İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from office, used the following expressions: "Today is May 1st. It is the holiday of workers and laborers. I celebrate May 1st for all my worker and laborer brothers from Silivri Prison. Workers and laborers have been fighting for humane living and working conditions for years. Those who create the world and life with their labor have long been fighting to receive the rewards of their labor and to work under humane conditions. May 1st symbolizes this long struggle, this difficult fight. Happy May 1st! I know very well how hard the conditions are for people who earn their living through labor in our country. The government that has collapsed our economy has made it even harder for millions struggling with the issues of making a living and finding work and bread with the coup of March 19. My laborer brothers, workers, this cycle will certainly turn. We will soon bring a period where labor and laborers will receive their rights. The days when restrictions and oppression will end are very near. We are close to the days when we will celebrate May 1st together with millions in Taksim, joyfully. Greetings to millions who are struggling day and night, especially my laborer brothers in Istanbul, to bring bread home with their sweat. The days when 'the short straw will receive its due from the long straw' are near. Happy May 1st."
