In Bahçelievler, a 40-year-old man was found dead after he reported about his 19-year-old girlfriend, saying, "She used drugs, she is an ex. I am leaving the house key on top of the natural gas box. I am leaving." During the investigation, bullet traces were found on the walls of the house and on the pillow, and blood stains were detected on the curtains. It was revealed that the suspect had 11 criminal records.
On May 3rd, around 08:00, a report was made to the 112 Emergency Call Center from Kocasinan Merkez Neighborhood in the Bahçelievler district of Istanbul. Hayrettin K. (40) fled, saying, "My girlfriend used drugs, she has overdosed, I am leaving the house key on top of the natural gas box."
THE LIFLESS BODY OF A 19-YEAR-OLD GIRL WAS FOUND
When the teams arrived at the house, they encountered the lifeless body of a woman lying motionless on the floor. Investigations revealed two bullet marks on the wall of the house and two bullet entry and exit wounds on the pillow, as well as blood stains on the curtains. After the examinations, the body, which could not be identified, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for examination. As a result of the investigations, it was determined that the body belonged to Deniz Karakaya (19), who had been reported missing.
THE SUSPICIOUS YOUNG GIRL INVADED HER AUNT'S HOUSE
According to allegations, on Thursday, May 2nd, Deniz Karakaya arrived at her aunt's house by taxi with a friend. After a while, Hayrettin K. came to the front of the house and started shouting. While Karakaya's uncle and aunt were trying to calm Hayrettin K., Deniz Karakaya went outside and said she wanted to talk. After the aunt and uncle went inside, Karakaya's aunt became worried when she realized her niece was not in front of the house.
THE MOTHER WHO IDENTIFIED THE BODY FAINTED
The next day, the aunt and uncle went to the police station to report the situation and filed a missing person report. Upon being informed, the mother, who lives outside the city, came to Istanbul. After the Forensic Medicine Institution notified the mother and family about the unidentified body, they requested the identification of the body. When the mother saw that the body at the Forensic Medicine Institution belonged to her daughter Deniz Karakaya, she fainted. Meanwhile, an examination of Deniz Karakaya's phone revealed messages with Hayrettin K.
"HE TOOK HER SAYING 'SHE IS MY WIFE'"
Deniz Karakaya's cousin, Hakan Karakaya, stated, "Deniz was taken from in front of her house on May 2nd, the day she went missing. The person came and said, 'Deniz is my wife,' and took her away from in front of the house. Her aunt and uncle went to the police station the next day to file a missing person report. Later, in a report to the police, when the teams arrived at the scene and opened the door, they found my cousin's corpse. Of course, she was immediately taken to Forensic Medicine for an autopsy," he said.
"SHE HAD BRUISES AND STAB WOUNDS ON HER BODY"
Hakan Karakaya, who stated that he learned about the incident on May 5th, said, "When we found out, we went to the morgue. We took our deceased from the morgue; my family and her mother went to wash her at the morgue. When they went to wash her, they said there were bruises on her body. They said there were bruises on many parts of her body and that there were small stab wounds. Her mother fainted at that moment, and we took her outside. Later, we buried the body."
"WE BELIEVE IT WAS A MURDER"
Karakaya said, "We wanted to investigate this incident. Many names came up. Hayrettin K. was the person who was with Deniz that night. Then there is a person called 'Baba,' who is probably the one who deals with Hayrettin K.'s drug trade, the one who supplies and transports it, known as a taxi driver. Hayrettin K.'s nickname is 'Şahin,' there is such a thing. Some people, when they went to the police to give statements, provided different statements than what they told us. We are being told differently, and when we go to the police, it is told differently. The autopsy report shows drugs, in high doses, but we believe this is not just about drugs; we believe it is a murder, and we want it to be solved," he said.
"HE ASKED MY COUSIN FOR MONEY MANY TIMES"
Hakan Karakaya stated, "The killer has escaped and has been on the run for about 3 weeks. There are 81 provinces in Turkey; he should be searched in all 81 provinces. If necessary, he could have foreign connections and could escape there; I mean, today, they can easily take a girl's life. This person has asked my cousin for money many times, 3 thousand lira, 5 thousand lira, sent money many times through the bank and in cash. This person has smashed my cousin's phone to pieces," he said.
11 CRIMINAL RECORDS EMERGED
Additionally, it was determined that Hayrettin K., who made the report, has a total of 11 criminal records for "Drug use," "Drug trafficking," "Possession of firearms," "Threat and insult," and "Intentional injury."
