Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the 'E1 Project,' which envisions the division of occupied territories in the West Bank and the expansion of illegal settlements. In his statement, Netanyahu said, "We will fulfill our promise that there will be no Palestinian state; this land belongs to us."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the advancement of the "E1 Project," which aims to annex the occupied West Bank and foresees the expansion of illegal settlements in East Jerusalem.

Another move has come from Israel, which has committed genocide in Gaza and continues its attacks on regional countries. Most recently, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke at a ceremony regarding the advancement of the "E1 Project" in the illegal Ma'ale Adumim settlement, built on land seized from Palestinians, after attacking the Hamas delegation in Qatar.

APPROVED THE SCANDALOUS PLAN

Netanyahu claimed, "We will fulfill our promise that there will be no Palestinian State; this land belongs to us," asserting that they would not allow the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Stating that they aim to double the population of the illegal settlement to 70,000 with the E1 plan, which foresees the construction of 3,401 illegal housing units near Maale Adumim, Netanyahu claimed they have achieved "both a historical and demographic success."

HAD CLEARLY STATED THEIR INTENTIONS

Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who advocates for the annexation of the entire occupied West Bank, announced last month the plan to approve the "E1 Project," which envisions the expansion of settlement areas seized from Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem, stating it would "eliminate the idea of a Palestinian State."

Smotrich had stated that with the approval, 3,401 housing units would be built near the Ma'ale Adumim settlement, along with 3,515 new housing units in surrounding areas.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

The "Ma'ale Adumim" settlement, built near the Palestinian neighborhood of Azzariyeh, which is historically part of East Jerusalem but located on the West Bank side of the Separation Wall (Apartheid Wall), was initiated to connect it to the road leading to West Jerusalem through the "E1 Project."

In this context, more than 4,000 illegal housing units and hotels were constructed after 12,000 acres of Palestinian land were seized in 1999. The "E1 Project" aims to sever and isolate the connection of East Jerusalem to Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
