New footage has emerged of the accident in which a passenger bus that lost control crashed into a truck that was pulling a tarpaulin, resulting in the deaths of three people in the Terme district of Samsun. The footage from the vehicle's security camera shows the moments just before the accident, when the bus driver sent the assistant to the back of the bus.

New footage has emerged regarding the accident in which a bus veered off the road and hit Aydın Yiğit (47) and Mehmet Yıldız (69), who were pulling a tarpaulin on a truck, in the Terme district of Samsun. The footage shows the bus driver Mustafa Hakan Okul sending his assistant to the back of the bus just before the incident, and after the accident, Okul resting his head on the steering wheel for a while, while passengers helped him and gave him water.

THE PASSENGER BUS HIT THOSE PULLING A TARPAULIN ON A TRUCK

The accident occurred on August 25 at around 08:30 in the Gündoğdu area of the Samsun-Ordu highway. The passenger bus with license plate 53 RT 111, driven by Mustafa Hakan Okul, veered off the road after the driver lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into Aydın Yiğit and Mehmet Yıldız, who were trying to pull a tarpaulin on a parked truck with license plate 55 ADU 207.

3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

Police and medical teams were dispatched to the accident site upon notification from bystanders. Two injured individuals were taken to Terme State Hospital after the intervention of medical teams. Despite the intervention, Aydın Yiğit lost his life on the same day. Mehmet Yıldız, who was receiving treatment in the hospital, also passed away on August 27.

NEW FOOTAGE HAS EMERGED

Another footage from a different bus interior camera has surfaced. The images captured by the bus's interior camera show the bus entering the safety lane and hitting those pulling the tarpaulin. It was also noted that the bus driver Okul sent his assistant to the back of the bus just before the incident. After the accident, it was recorded that Okul rested his head on the steering wheel for a while, while passengers helped him and gave him water.

The investigation into the accident, for which the bus driver has been arrested, is ongoing.
