My dear brothers, I want you to know very well, along with my esteemed nation: We are all, as 86 million, a large family brought together by history, culture, our common civilization, and our beliefs.
We are not individuals of separate nations; we all live under the same flag, beneath the same sky. Remember, there is a place for all of us. This flag, which takes its color from the blood of our martyrs, is ours. This blessed homeland, where a hero lies beneath every inch of soil, is ours. This country is ours. It belongs to all of us. To each and every one of the 86 million. Our Turkey is also the safest harbor for our brothers beyond our borders when they are in trouble.
Look, we saw this in Iraq. We saw this for 14 years in our neighbor Syria. We have seen this before in the Balkans, in the Caucasus, and in many corners of our heartland. Tomorrow, the homeland of those who are oppressed, marginalized, under pressure, and face death will again be Turkey and the Turkish nation.
Therefore, just like all brotherly peoples in Syria, the security, peace, and well-being of the Kurds are guaranteed by Turkey. Those who turn towards Ankara and Damascus will win; those who respect brotherhood and neighborly relations will win. Those who lose their direction and seek new foreign patrons will ultimately lose.
