U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that they are increasing pressure to "stop drug trafficking in Venezuela," stating, "We will soon begin attacks from the ground as well."
US President Trump answered journalists' questions about Venezuela following a press conference held at the White House.
Trump stated that the amount of drugs transported from Venezuela to the US has decreased by 91% during his administration, claiming that this is due to his policies.
"VENEZUELA IS SENDING US DRUGS"
The US President responded to a question, "Do you think Maduro has responded to your pressures?" by saying, "I think this is far beyond pressure. I had a brief conversation with him, I told him some things. We will see what the outcome will be. Venezuela is sending us drugs, but at the same time, they are also sending people they shouldn't be sending."
"WE WILL SOON START ATTACKS FROM LAND"
Trump referred to the attacks they have carried out on "drug-carrying" boats around Venezuela, stating, "We will soon start (attacks) from land."
2 INJURED PEOPLE KILLED IN SECOND ATTACK
On the other hand, Trump also addressed the issue of who gave the order regarding the killing of 2 injured people in a second attack, which has been a topic of discussion in the American public for several days. In response to the question, "Do you support the killing of the 2 injured people in the second attack?" the US President said, "No, but I support the decision to strike the boats. Those who operate those boats are guilty because they are trying to kill people in our country."
