The terrorist organization PKK/YPG, which uses the name SDG in Syria, continues to withdraw from the city center of Aleppo in accordance with the agreement signed with the Damascus administration.
THE SECOND CONVOY HAS LEFT THE CITY
The second convoy carrying PKK/YPG terrorists who occupied the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods in Aleppo has left the city. According to the agreement signed between the Syrian government and PKK/YPG on April 1, this convoy of 60 vehicles heading to the east of the Euphrates included approximately 500 terrorists.
IT WILL CONTINUE IN THE COMING DAYS
Terrorists carrying PKK/YPG flags have left Aleppo under the protection of forces affiliated with the General Security Administration. The withdrawal of the terrorists is expected to continue in the coming days.
TERRORISTS TURNED MAKSUD AND ESHREFIYYE INTO A TERROR BASE
The overthrown Baath regime left some regions in the north of the country to PKK/YPG on the condition that they would not engage in armed action against it in 2012, while the organization used the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods in Aleppo as a "terror" base. Terrorists committing crimes such as murder, kidnapping, and forced conscription were also extorting money from shopkeepers under the guise of taxes. The organization's abduction of children from schools in Aleppo to forcibly recruit them into their armed ranks has been reflected in many reports. The organization provided strategic support for the regime and Russia's siege and capture of Aleppo through the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in 2016.
ATTEMPT TO ATTACK ARMY FORCES IN ALEPPO
After the fall of the Baath regime, terrorists continuing their occupation in Aleppo attempted to attack army forces in the city, coinciding with the attacks of the overthrown regime elements in the coastal region at the beginning of last month. After the regime's fall, PKK/YPG placed snipers in the mentioned neighborhoods. According to a report by the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), at least 65 civilians lost their lives in the attacks of snipers between November 30, 2024, and January 30, 2025.
